The
Mayor and Council of the City
of Jacksonville, Alabama met in a called session on Tuesday, March 7,
2006, at 12:00 p.m. in City Hall Annex No.1. Mayor Johnny L.
Smith called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the
following
members were present: Mayor Smith and Council Members George
L.
Areno, Charles E. Notar, Jerry T. Parris, and Sandra F.
Sudduth.
Council Member Jeff L. Shelton was absent. The City Clerk was
present. The City Attorney was present. The Finance
Director was present.
WAIVER OF NOTICE. A motion was made by Council Member Notar, seconded by Council Member Parris, to adopt the waiver of notice, as per attached original, for the called meeting. Upon vote on the motion, the following votes were recorded: Yeas: All; Nays: None. The Mayor announced the motion carried.
AGENDA. The Mayor asked for corrections or additions to the agenda. There were none. A motion was made by Council Member Notar, seconded by Council Member Sudduth, to adopt the agenda as presented. Upon vote on the motion, the following votes were recorded: Yeas: All; Nays: None. The Mayor announced the motion carried.
RULE SUSPENSION: ORDINANCE 465: PERMIT PROCEDURE, REQUIREMENTS, AND FEES FOR DEMOLITION OR REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES. A motion was made by Council Member Notar, seconded by Council Member Parris, to suspend the rules for the immediate consideration of Ordinance 465: Establishing Permit Procedure, Requirements, and Fees for the Demolition or Removal of Structures. Upon vote on the motion, the following votes were recorded:
The
Mayor announced the motion carried.
ORDINANCE 465: PERMIT PROCEDURE, REQUIREMENTS, AND FEES FOR DEMOLITION OR REMOVAL OF STRUCTURES. A motion was made by Council Member Notar, seconded by Council Member Parris, to adopt Ordinance 465: Establishing Permit Procedure, Requirements, and Fees for the Demolition Or Removal Of Structures. Upon vote on the motion, the following votes were recorded: Yeas: Mayor Smith and Council Members Areno, Notar, Parris, and Sudduth; Nays: None; Absent: Council Member Shelton. The Mayor announced the motion carried by unanimous consent. A copy of Ordinance 465 is made part of the Minutes.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same was on motion duly adjourned.
