PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE JACKSONVILLE CITY COUNCIL’S CONSIDERATION OF A NEW ZONING ORDINANCE THAT WILL COMPLETELY AMEND AND REPLACE SECTION 24 – ZONING, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ALABAMA
Notice is hereby given that a new Zoning Ordinance is to be considered by the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Alabama, in the Court Room of the Public Safety Complex located at 911 Public Safety Drive, SW – Jacksonville, Alabama 36265, at 7:00 p.m. on October 28, 2019 and at such time and place all persons who desire shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of the proposed new Zoning Ordinance. The new Zoning Ordinance will completely amend and replace the existing Zoning Ordinance (Section 24 – Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jacksonville, Alabama). This notice is issued pursuant to Section 11-52-77(2) of the Code of Alabama.
Copies of the proposed new Zoning Ordinance may be obtained from or viewed in the office of the City Clerk at the Jacksonville City Hall, located at 320 Church Avenue, SE – Jacksonville, Alabama 36265 during normal business hours.
The proposed new Zoning Ordinance is also available for viewing online at the City’s website (www.jacksonville-al.org).
The new Zoning Ordinance shall apply to and involve all properties located within the corporate limits of the City of Jacksonville, Alabama.

NOTICE OF COMMERCIAL MEETING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The Commercial Development Authority of the City of Jacksonville will meet the Second Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Complex, 911 Public Safety Drive, Jacksonville, Alabama, to discuss commercial development and any other such business that might come before the authority.
