Our Mission
The purpose of the Jacksonville Public Library is to select, organize, preserve, and make freely and easily available to all the people of the community library materials, programs, and services which will aid them in the pursuit of education, information, and leisure-time activities.
Jacksonville Public Library Board
The Library Board is an advisory board that consists of four community members appointed by the City Council and one City Councilperson liaison.
If you are interested in serving on the board, you must be a resident of the City of Jacksonville and fill out an interest form to be considered when there is a vacancy.
The Library Board meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 4:30pm in the library annex.
