All attorneys hired to represent defendants in the Jacksonville Municipal Court must file Notices of Appearances and Motions for Discovery with our office.
Court Sessions
- 1st date is Misdemeanor Arraignment (Docket calls at 1:00 p.m.)
- 2nd date is Traffic/Payment Court (Begins at 1:00 P.M.)
- 3rd date is Deferred/Payment Court (Begins at 1:00 P.M.)
- 4th date is Officer Trial Morning (Begins at 8:00 A.M.)
Criminal Cases
The Jacksonville Municipal Court handles misdemeanor criminal cases and city ordinance violations that occur within the city limits and police jurisdiction. If you have been arrested for a non-traffic offense, you must appear in court on your court date.
If you have an outstanding warrant, you must turn yourself in on the warrant and post the appropriate bond. If you have any questions concerning a warrant, you may contact the Jacksonville Municipal Court office at (256) 435-6960.
