We're happy to announce that Jacksonville will host this year's Alabama Recreation & Parks Association state volleyball tournament! We're expecting more than 30 teams and about 500 players, plus their families, to arrive for the tournament during the tournament from Nov. 10-11 (and possible play on Nov. 12).
Admission is $5 per person, per day. Ages 5 and under are free. Admission includes an armband that will allow you to go between game sites without paying again.
Restaurant owners: We're making gift bags for the players! Send us a message at the City of Jacksonville Facebook page if you'd like to include coupons for the visiting families or donate food for the coaches and support staff on game days.
Residents: If you see visiting families while you're out and about, be sure to say hello and welcome to Jacksonville. We want them to know how much we enjoy having events like these here, and create a great environment they'll want to come back to.
Games will be played at the Jax Pard Community Center, at Jacksonville Christian Academy and Jacksonville High School. See the linked PDF files below for schedules and bracket information.
