Welcome to the “Jacksonville Cross Bar Hotel”. You may check in at any time, no reservation is required. Each room has a lovely window view. We have maid service to provide you with clean linen upon check in. Meals are served three time a day. Generally we serve steak and potatoes, with a frosty cold beverage, (McDonald’s – small hamburger, small fries, small coke). Due to an effort to keep costs to a minimum, the cable TV, pool, and workout area have been closed. But we do have other entertainment if you choose to participate. Some of the workout / entertainment you may wish to participate in would include;
- Painting
- Cleaning
- Building maintenance
- Patrol vehicle washing
- Roadside trash collection
- Weed eating and general lawn care service
- and any other type of court referral type training so ordered
Methods of check out (How to make bond)
First, how did you check in? Was your trip for business or pleasure? Your check-in will determine your check-out and payment method.
Misdemeanor offense – non-alcohol related
- Assault 3rd
- Harassment
- Disorderly Conduct
- Theft of property 3rd
- Criminal mischief 3rd
- Harassing Communication
- etc…
These type of charges have no hold time, unless some other agency has a hold on them. There are three ways to make bond. You only have to use one of them;
Option 1
You may elect to pay the cash bond. The advantage to this type of bond, if you plead guilty or are found guilty, the bond can be converted to your fines and court costs. You pay nothing more, unless the judge orders more. If the judge orders less, you will receive a refund check from the court.
We now have a convenient way for you to make a cash bond by using your credit card. (Master Card, Visa, Discovery) Simply call 1-888-726-6301 or go on-line to www.cashbondonline.com, provide the information on the site and they will notified our office as soon as your credit card is approved.
Option 2
Signature bond. Two individual, not yourself, that own or are purchasing real property (land) in Calhoun County, and have their tax papers or deed, bring them in, we will make a copy for the court, and then you may sign your bond with them. The advantage to this type of bond, you do not need any money at this time. All three of you sign, and you walk out until your court date.
Option 3
Bonding agent / company licensed & bonded in Calhoun County. This option is an agreement between you and the bonding company. You pay them a fee for a service. The Jacksonville Police Department are not involved in your agreement with that company. That bonding agent / company will then post your bond with the Jacksonville Police Department. (Note – the Jacksonville Police Department do not recommend any bonding companies, so don’t ask!). The advantage is at the time you make bond, you can use a check, credit card, or whatever arrangement you and the bonding company can agree on. The disadvantage is that you pay that company for a service. Then when you come to court, if you plead guilty or are found guilty, you will then have to pay the city the fines and court cost.
